Just read your post and something disturbing got my eye:
"Hold up! I thought that I could instead just bring the HDD from my old computer to the new one but turns out it's denied its way into the system. It shows the HDD ready and synced BUT it can not register because Windows 8.1 is already installed on the other HDD and I can't have two different OS running on the same computer."
This ^^^^
I have had this problem aswell.
Have you ever hear of "Master" and "Slave"
Google it. Wiki it. IDE has it, i thought SATA has it aswell.
All you need to do really is replace a so called 'Jumper'.
A tiny piece of plastic with a tiny metal bracket (of some sort) inside.
Im quite sure that you can turn your old "Master" HDD (with the FL files on it) to a Slave disk. Much like a DVD drive which is also always a slave since you dont want the system to boot from it.
Consider taking a look into this.
Needless to say it is truly a shame because I've already formatted the hard drive lmao oops! Good news is I got all my programs back onto my new computer along with Sony Vegas which I wasn't able to on the other computer. Either way I'm always up for some quality PC education so I'll definitely look into it. I guess maybe the HDD didn't work because of something on it. After all I had a lot of problems with it having files missing every day. Thanks for the help though!
